Letter from The Commissioner

 

 

 

With pleasure, I welcome you to the Island Soccer League ( ISL), I am filled with excitement and joy to be apart of the first professional soccer league in Bermuda. It has been my goal to provide opportunities for players to reach there full potential and for players to have a chance to show there talents on the field. I have enjoyed playing professional for years and would even enjoy it that much more if I had the chance to play in my own country. I will promise you that we will provide an atmosphere for all to enjoy, an one that will keep you entertained from start to finish.

    The ISL will have a solid foundation that will provide growth and success. It will offer exciting fast paced entertainment, it will have enormous appeal to our youth and families.

    During my 15 years of playing professional I have realized that success will come from hard work, and trust. I promise that I will work my hardest to develop the ISL as a major league that will be known over many countries, I ask for your trust in me and my staff, by your support from the start of the whistle to the final whistle in our first year of the ISL.

     I have always put a great deal of passion on providing opportunities for our talent in Bermuda, this is why I will could tell you that you will be in for a treat when you step foot passed the gates at the games in 2007. With the continued support from our sponsors, fans and players we will only see great things for the ISL.

     Among our priorities are to build partnerships with corporations and soccer clubs who are willing to grow with the league, we are looking to secure deals with national leagues that will help support our efforts in raising the profiles of our many outstanding players. Most importantly, however, our objectives are to bring back the love for the game and to create doors for the talented young that we have in Bermuda. What a joy this will be!

     Further growth and prosperity will not materialize overnight for the ISL. It will call for lots of teamwork and sacrifice. But together- myself, staff, fans, players and everyone whom shares the passion of the game, we could create the greatest environment for our greatest past time.

      As the Commissioner/President of the ISL, I want to thank you for your support and look forward in seeing you all at the games, an encourage you to feel free to approach me and my staff with your ideas and thoughts in our development, remember always this is not my league it is all of ours.
