ISL final will be set after tonight's semifinal action

The ISL playoffs will be down to two teams after tonight’s action at National Stadium. In Tuesday night’s first match the Red Division Champion Royal will take on the Union. The Royal are led by leading scored Adrian Burrows and Midfielder Jemeiko Jennings. The Royal defeated the Union 7-6 in the only match of the season between the two clubs. Adrian Burrows scored twice in that match and Robert Wilson, Shannon Burgess, Jelani Butterfield, Adolphus Lambert and Jemeiko Jennings also found the net for the Royal. Dennis Russell leads the ISL in goals coming into this one and had two tallies in a losing effort last time out against Royal.

In Tuesday’s second match the upstart Arsenal will face the league champion storm. The Arsenal won a fantastic match against the Knights 7-6 on Saturday night. Reggie Lowe recorded a hat trick for the Arsenal and Goalkeeper Jason Smith was outstanding between the pipes. The Storm won the Blue Division Championship this season and are loaded with players that can put the ball in the back of the net. Angelo Simmons leads the Storm in goals and is second in the league in scoring. He is assisted by Striker Raymond Beach and Phil Anderson. The last time out the Storm fell behind the Knights 3-0 in the first five minutes of the game but outscored the Knights 9-2 the rest of the way to pave the way for the Blue Division crown.

Notes: The Arsenal will be without Dwyia Blyden tonight after Blyden injured his knee in the 7-6 ot win over the Knights on Saturday night. The Arsenal should have Cecoy Robinson back for tonight’s game after he missed Saturday night’s match.
