The Union defeated the Kings 10-4 in game one and The Arsenal took care of the Royal 7-3 in the nightcap at National Stadium.

The Union were paced by Lamaal Crofton’s hat trick. Crofton broke a 3-3 third quarter tie scoring back to back goals at the five and seven minute mark of the third quarter. Crofton would also score at the 11 minute mark of the fourth quarter to complete the hat trick. Aquino Grant scored the first goal of the ISL season early in quarter number one, but it was all Union from there. Ryan Nesbitt and Dennis Russell scored to give the Union a 2-1 lead. Jahnai Raynor made it 3-1 in the second quarter. Chris Anderson scored a shoot-out goal to cut it to 3-2 at the half, and Ricky Saltus’ goal tied things at three but Union dominated the second half. Ryan Nesbitt scored alongside the two Lamaal Crofton goals to make it 6-3 after three, and then answered a Chris Anderson Kings goal with four fourth quarter tallies.

In game two the Arsenal made a statement against the Royal. Newly aquired Jason Smith played solid in goal and Ian Coke notched a hat trick for the Arsenal. The two teams played a scoreless first quarter before Adrian Burrows scored for the Royal. Ian Coke scored the equalizer at 7:30 of the second. Then in the last minute of the half Carlos Trott scored for the Royal to give them a 2-1 lead. It was short live as Dwyia Blyden notched the equalizer just :39 seconds later. Arsenal blew the game open in third, getting goals from Coke, Keith Martin, and Blyden. Reggie Lowe scored his first goal of the season in the fourth quarter to give the Arsenal a 6-2 lead. Jemeicko Jennings and Ian Coke would trade fourth quarter goals to make the final 7-3.
